Our Team

Nearing the end of a 25 year career in law enforcement, I set out to create the next chapter of my life. I’ve learned many lessons through my own failures about leadership and service to others and the importance of adding value to everyone around me. I’ve been a casual photographer for many years and have done portrait work for friends and family, done a few weddings, sports and other events, and mixed in some landscape photography too. I’ve learned a lot through others far more skilled then I. My daughter, Abigail, picked up on this hobby too when she was just a little girl. Teaching and mentoring her with this over the years has brought great joy to me and now I can say the student has become the teacher as her photography work has a life of its own and has taught me a lot. We’ve had many conversations over the last few years about leadership, life, Godliness, serving others, photography, building businesses, and striving to always work towards the success of others. DIAKONOS ART was born from these concepts and the shared skillset we have. A name meaning ‘Servant Leader’ was the perfect fit for us. I believe that we can bring some of that same joy, happiness, connection, hope, and love to your family through our work.
